Well I promised in my last post that I would continue with the updates to our lives so here goes:

So the next thing that happened in our new life together was our first nights separated. Brandon is a Scout Leader at our church and the boys had a scout camp that he went on. He had a great time even though I found him on the floor smelling distinctly like campfire and cuddling with the dogs.
Why this is so funny/shocking for me to find (hence the picture) is because before this point Brandon hated the dogs and wouldn't even let them come into the apartment haha! so you can imagine my surprise when I walked in on this little scene.

Anyone who knows me knows that I love my two little dogs Coco and Hobbes:) So I am definitely pleased that my husband now gets along with them as well.

So next came our first winter and our first christmas as Mr & Mrs de Jong :). I love Christmas so very much. My family can tell stories of me getting so excited for christmas, as soon as it started to get cold outside I would beg them to put the Christmas tree up. I will probably write a more extensive post when christmas time comes around again (I kinda missed that boat) but the readers digest version of our Christmas is as follows.

I made Sock animals for my nieces for Christmas and I think they turned out pretty good for my first attempts at stuffed animals. They were well received so all the stressing about them turning out well was worth it in the end :)

After our amazing first Christmas together came NEW YEARS!!! We went out that night, watched the hockey game and enjoyed the night out together :)

Soon after New Years came my 21st Birthday! My husband spoiled me rotten and I loved every minute of it. I got breakfast in bed with smiley face pancakes and heart shaped pancakes. I also got presents in bed. We had a really fun day together and then he took me out to dinner at Safari where we had a delicious meal followed by a very fun game of pool and skating near the scarborough town centre :)
I drew chip my husbands stuffed monkey from his childhood and I think it turned out alright. I also did an abstract.
Well thats all the updates I can manage right now. You may now consider yourself pretty updated on our lives :) Which is a relief for me because I am much more interested in talking about the here & now!
